The overwhelming support shown at the referendum for a new constitution marks the beginning of the role we have as citizens, to push for and monitor enactment of legislation and implementation.

Reforms | A Review
On The Pace Of Reforms In Kenya Since The National Accord
This booklet reviews the pace
of reforms in Kenya since the National Accord was signed on February 28,
2008 after the political crisis in the country. It is intended to provoke our
thinking into what action we
as citizens can take to ensure reforms needed to make our country stable for
the sake of peace and
progress. Some say "It is their coalition, but our reforms". This
booklet looks at the different aspects
mentioned under the Agenda Item 4 and the progress made since it was signed
by the coalition.
Restore Our Forest For Our Future
Our environment keeps us alive.
We depend on it for food, water and the weather
cycles that support economic activities. Without these, we simply would not
be.
While it is a fact that development and simply staying alive means utilising
natural
resources, we must remember that these resources are not easily renewable.
At
times, they are not renewable at all.
The good news is that if we respect our environment, if we utilise it for socio-economic
development in a sustainable manner, then it too will continue to sustain
us.
Quite simply: if we kill our environment, we too will meet a hungry and thirsty
end;
but, if we feed it, it will feed us.
