We take this opportunity to introduce Smart Citizens. A civil society organization committed to the reform process in Kenya and Africa as a whole.

It is well recognized and documented that there is dire need for socio-political and economic reform in all areas of governance to enable citizens of all status access much needed resources for individual and societal progress. In addition to the reforms mentioned above, the most important one of all is that of our own selves. Without changing our resignation and/or apathy nothing meaningful can happen. It is time we stood up and took on our responsibility to participate in governance concerns in an active non-violent manner that will create an environment where our rights and social justice are institutionalized as they should be.

SmartCitizens vision is that of a society where laws and norms translate into social justice for the benefit of all citizens.

Our mission
Our mission is to creatively and innovatively collect, collate and disseminate objective information that will enable citizens participate in an informed and active non-violent manner in governance processes that affect their lives.

Our Objectives
Our objectives include identifying policy issues, lobbying concerned parties and bringing all concerned stakeholders together to assess, discuss and plan the way forward as well as implement a socially just and progressive solution.
