Role Of Reform Clubs

SmartCitizens is passionate about nurturing the youth and helping them make positive contributions to the society. With this in mind, SmartCitizens has developed reforms clubs in various Secondary schools .The sole purpose of the clubs is to be able to expose the youth to real life challenges that exist in the society.

This is achieved through a forum where they can freely and openly interact and come up with viable reforms that benefit the society. SmartCitizens provide an outline and content to the teachers in charge of the clubs on what is to be discussed in various schools.

The discussions revolve around peace building, the reform process and nation building. This enables the youth to be make rational decisions and avoid manipulation and exploitation by politicians who usually target the youth to achieve their selfish objectives.

The club targets sensitive areas where tribal clashes have been persistent but we plan to expand this project all over the country.

The reform clubs consist of mentors who encourage the youth to actively and fully participate in the reform process .The mentors also motivate best performing students and schools by rewarding them .
